President & Show Manager of Shows USA

Tamara is the President of Shows USA and she came into shows the hard way - she was born into it!  Working with her father at the shows since she was 14 years old, she has done it all from ticket sales to booth sales, and was even the Easter Bunny at a show to entertain the kids.

For some years Tamara only worked part-time with Shows USA, and honed her business talents in other enterprises. At the age of 19 she was the youngest person ever promoted to store manager for Motherhood Maternity Stores, while she also pursued her University degree at Cal Poly, Pomona, studying hospitality management. In her next position, she earned several promotions, going from store manager to Regional Manager for a California chain of clothing stores. Five years later she left to become National Operations Manager for a chain of video stores.

In 1997, after she moved to Texas, she started her own sign manufacturing business, as graphic design has always been an interest. The business thrived and sales increased by almost 50% every year. Through all these years though, even as she worked in other businesses, she has always been on the side helping her Dad with the shows. In 2007, Tamara sold her business to join her Dad full time at Shows USA. 

Today, committed fulltime to the growth and prosperity of Shows USA, she manages many aspects of the shows.  She works with the sales staff, plans the advertising campaigns, manages the shows and her favorite part - the graphic arts - designs the brochures, cards, advertising, web design and everything else. 

In her free time, Tamara loves to walk her 4 dogs - 3 Old English Sheepdogs and one Afghan mix, spend time with her daughter Cassidy, read, and travel. She also loves photography, cooking for friends and family, and remodeling her home.... constantly because of all the great things she sees at the shows.

Tamara loves all the shows, but her two favorite are the Travel Expo, because of all the great vacations she finds there, and the the Pet Expo. One of her dogs, Shamus O’Sheepdog comes to help manage the Pet Expo, and Tamara enjoys meeting all the people that come by to talk to this handsome guy (pictured here with his sister Georgie Girl - Shamus is on the right). Sometimes Shamus helps manage the Home Shows too - keep an eye out for him - he'd love you to come tell him how handsome he is!
