Jim Anderson

Jim is originally from Minneapolis, and the youngest of three children, but he grew up in the San Fernando Valley where he did most of his schooling. To the age of 16, he spent his summers on the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota working on his grand parents and aunt’s farm where they raised barley and livestock.
Prior to joining Shows USA, Jim worked 6 years with a different home show producer, working with vendors to help them exhibit in shows around the U.S.
In the prior 20-plus years to that, he worked as the Western Regional Sales Manager for a Swedish robotics manufacturer (ABB) specifically for their industrial automation division handling their new product launch programs for the US, and Canadian markets.
Jim ‘s wife Lynn, is a native of St. Louis and works in public relations. They now live with their dog Holly in the West LA area. They have one son living in Boise, ID and two grandchildren. The oldest, their granddaughter, graduated from Pacific University in Portland two years ago with a Master’s in Psychology. Jim and Lynn’s grandson just graduated from high school this year.
Jim enjoys traveling and making new friends along the way. Some of the more interesting spots have been trips to Vietnam, Russia, Finland and the picturesque Eastern European cities of Prague and Budapest.
Jim and his wife both do volunteer work; Lynn as a docent at the Skirball Cultural Center in West LA and Jim works with abused and neglected children in the CASA program at Edelman Children’s Court in Monterey Park. Jim enjoys hiking local trails and photography. He is a bicycling enthusiast and enjoys long distance road bike trips. Another passion was flying however he gave that up some years ago to raise a young family. He still miss it dearly.
